The AEF is looking to hire a new Avian Care Specialist / Wings of America Presenter.
Required Prerequisites: Must have flexible days / hours. Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass both a background check and drug screen.
Desired Job Prerequisites: We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, prior bird handling experience is a plus, and prior public speaking / education for large to small audiences.
Primary Focus/Location: Raptor husbandry, education, and public interaction at the Dollywood Theme park.

Desired Job Prerequisites: Preference will be given to candidates with: proficient grammar and creative-writing skills; photo editing and graphics design experience; photography, videography, and video editing experience; social media management and communications abilities; knowledge of marketing and advertising; and/or experience with the WordPress platform.

2020 Summer Internship Program
Each year, the AEF invites current university students and recent graduates to apply for our Summer Internship Program. 2-3 interns will actively work with our non-releasable birds, feed our Eagles on Eagle Mountain Sanctuary, work on special projects with AEF’s Marketing Coordinator, perform in our educational Wings of America birds-of-prey show, and get first hand experience banding/tagging/caring for our captive-hatched eaglets that are released into the wild from our hack tower on Douglas Lake each summer.
Internships are unpaid, but a weekly stipend is offered to help offset basic living expenses. Interns are also provided with assistance in securing housing, although housing is the responsibility of the intern. Interns must be able to provide their own transportation..
