Rehab & Release
What a glorious experience and happy ending to see a rehabilitated eagle fly free again. The AEF’s expertise in the care and rehabilitation of raptors is evident in this video of a rehabbed Bald Eagle being released back into the wild on South Holston Lake in East TN near Bristol. The adult eagle had recently been caught on the sharp hook of a catfish fishing line attached to a tree on the edge of this very lake. Releasing the eagle back into the area where it was found provides a familiar landscape to the eagle. We wish this eagle good health and long life!
