December 1, 2020 is Giving Tuesday: A Day of Global Generosity

Giving Tuesday empowers communities to transform their world through charitable giving. At American Eagle Foundation, we similarly seek to empower our global community to join us in conserving the bald eagle and all birds of prey. Each donation helps us protect these incredible raptors for generations to come.

This Giving Tuesday, American Eagle Foundation will be unveiling the biggest announcement in the history of our organization on our Facebook livestream at 10am EST. More than ever, your charitable donations will help shape the future of our non-profit foundation and the reach of our mission pillars.

To prepare for our biggest announcement, we’re hosting a raffle with our largest prizes ever.

Raffle participants can win one of 5 prize packages.

Grand Prize – This package includes a two night stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, two 2021 season passes to Dollywood Family Theme Park and a private tour of the American Eagle Foundation. Valued at $1000.00. Some date restrictions may apply.
AEF Merch Package  – This package includes various American Eagle Foundation Merchandise valued at $500.00.
3 AEF Mystery boxes – Each mystery box is valued at $75.00.

All proceeds benefit our mission and help continue the gold-standard care of our 70+ raptors. Together, we can positively transform the natural world.

Our Mission Pillars

In the weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday, American Eagle Foundation will be sharing our mission pillars of Conservation, Education, and Protection. Watch our social media for exciting content highlighting our initiatives in each of these areas.

In all we do, conservation is a cornerstone. We understand that “conserve” is a multi-dimensional verb that extends well beyond simply caring for birds of prey. To “conserve” is also to care for their habitats and the biodiversity therein; it is to counter human-driven factors that put our precious wildlife at risk, both native and abroad. Our conservation initiatives include habitat cleanup initiatives, our wild eagle nest cams, and our efforts to counter overseas wildlife crises.

Effective conservation is made possible only through education. Through our own passion for the resident raptors under our care, American Eagle Foundation encourages our community to forge a lasting connection with our incredible birds. Our innovative school curricula incorporate Next Generation Science Standards to combine transferable STEM skillsets with conservation-based messaging.

Though conservation and education may tackle global issues, our mission to protect positively impacts the lives of individual raptors through rehabilitation, propagation, and sanctuary. We take utmost care with the well-being and husbandry of all raptors that pass through our doors. There is no greater privilege than releasing a healthy raptor into the wild.
