When you become an American Eagle Foundation member, you are annually eligible to enter our "Name An Eaglet Contest". A drawing will be held and winner announced on July 4th (Independence Day). The form is found at the bottom of this page.

One lucky member will be awarded the regal right to name a Bald Eaglet hatched and reared by one of our non-releasable breeding pairs. That person will also be offered the rare privilege of being present for the release of the young bird into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

All contest entry forms need to be submitted by or on June 20th (American Eagle Day). Anyone holding a current membership on June 20th is eligible to enter the contest and win that special honor. If you're not a Foundation member, join today!

Eaglet Naming & Contest Rules / Guidelines

The "Name An American Eaglet Contest" ("Contest") is conducted by the American Eagle Foundation only for the benefit of its bona fide members and not the general public. The Foundation may exclude or prohibit any person or entity from participating in the Contest that is not a current member of the Foundation on the day of the Contest drawing.
 
Any person or entity that is a current member of the Foundation by or on June 20th (American Eagle Day) will be eligible for participation in Contest drawing. All interested Foundation members must fill in and submit an Official Entry Form by June 20th to participate in the Contest and qualify to win. The drawing will actually  take place on July 4th (Independence Day).
 
All members participating in the Contest must understand and adhere to the eaglet naming and Contest rules, guidelines and terms detailed in the Contest Winner Agreement ("Agreement"), which is posted on the Foundation's website (www.eagles.org)

Name An American Eaglet Contest
2013 Official Entry Form

I (We) hereby submit this Official Entry Form to the American Eagle Foundation ("Foundation"), which entitles me (us) to be included in the "Name An American Eaglet Contest" ("Contest").

I am (We are) a bona fide member of the Foundation headquartered in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and my (our) membership will be current on July 1st .

I (we) have read and understand the eaglet naming and Contest rules, guidelines and terms detailed in the Contest Winner Agreement ("Agreement") which is posted on the Foundation's website (www.eagles.org). I (we) promise to abide by the rules, guidelines and terms specified in the Agreement should I (we) be selected as the winner of the Contest ("Contest Winner").

I (We) agree to immediately sign and return the Agreement to the Foundation, should I (we) be notified by the Foundation that I (we) have won the Contest. If I (we) do become the Contest Winner, I (we) agree to deliver a copy of signed Agreement to the Foundation in an expeditious manner, as directed by the Foundation. I understand that my failure to sign and return the Agreement as directed may disqualify me (us) from participating as the Contest Winner, and that an alternate winner may be chosen by the Foundation.

I (We) hereby submit in advance my (our) top three choices to name a Bald Eaglet that will be released into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains by the Foundation in the near future (mid July or later).

EAGLET NAMING GUIDELINES: Acceptable names may be patriotic, historic, geographic, scientific, etc. in origin. Common human and pet names should be avoided.
