Skylar

Skylar is a male Broad-winged Hawk who came to the American Eagle Foundation with an injury to his wing. After rehabilitation, it was determined he would not be able to survive in the wild, so he is a permanent resident at the AEF.
During the summer months, broad-winged hawks are found in the eastern part of North America, migrating south for the winter. Forest dwellers at all times, they perch in trees waiting for their prey, then swoop down to the forest floor for their meal.
Skylar can be seen doing educational shows at schools, libraries, and even at Dollywood's live birds of prey show "Wings of America."
