Barry - Barred Owl

Barry is a male barred owl that came to the American Eagle Foundation when he was blown from his nest in a storm.

We are  unsure of his age because he was full grown when he arrived here.

The barred owl is named for the barred feather patterns on its chest. They can live to be 40 years old in captivity, and half that age in the wild.

Barry can be seen in the "Wings of America" birds of prey show at Dollywood Entertainment Park in Pigeon Forge, TN
